Protect Yourself from Fraud
Scammers may call, text, or email while pretending to be Industrial Credit Union or another trusted organization. They may know information about you, disguise where they are contacting you from, or create a convincing story.
If something feels unusual or unexpected, stop and contact Industrial Credit Union directly. You do not need to determine whether the person contacting you is legitimate.
Stay Safe
If you receive an unexpected or suspicious call, text, or email:
- Do not provide personal, account, card, or login information.
- Never share a one-time passcode or verification code.
- Do not send, withdraw, or move money at someone's direction.
- Do not click links, open attachments, or use contact information provided in a suspicious message.
- Do not give someone remote access to your computer or mobile device.
- Be cautious of anyone pressuring you to act immediately or keep something secret.
Caller ID, logos, names, and someone's knowledge about you are not proof that they are legitimate.
Fake Check Scams
A check can look legitimate, and funds may even appear in your account before the check is discovered to be fraudulent.
Be cautious if someone sends you a check and then asks you to send money, buy gift cards, return part of the funds, or make a payment on their behalf.
If you receive a suspicious check, do not send money or continue communicating with the sender. Contact Industrial Credit Union before taking further action.

Debit & ATM Card Security
A few simple habits can help keep your card, PIN, and account information secure.
- Keep your card and PIN private. Choose a PIN that isn't easy to guess or based on personal information.
- Review your account activity regularly and promptly report transactions you don't recognize.
- Destroy expired, canceled, or replaced cards.
- Check an ATM for anything unusual before using it.
- Shield the keypad when entering your PIN.
- Never accept help from a stranger while using an ATM.
- If something or someone makes you uncomfortable, cancel your transaction and leave.
- Put away your card and cash before leaving the ATM.
- At a drive-up ATM, keep your doors locked and other windows closed.
